Lawrence v Lomeli

Quite a noticable change between the book and the film was the substitution of our protagonist. While character traits carry across the two characters, there are some demographic differences between the two men (though the two names are definitely helpful to differentiate!). Obviously this was a substitution done due to the fact that Lawrence's actor was not Italian and thus likely could not have gotten away with taking on the Italian moniker. Evidently, the film being targeted at a primarily British and American audience may have driven this desire. Overall, this is most likely my most nit-picky complaint, but the fact that Lomeli is an Italian candidate plays quite a role in him winning votes from both Bellini and Tedesco and it helps to cement their pre-existing relationships as somewhat more grounded.
